For the past years, Eastern Caribbean Home Mortgage Bank (ECHMB) in association with the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC), has had several training programmes for officers who are involved in the decision-making, lending, and administration of mortgages in their institutions, and those who are expected to be so involved. During the training programme, major issues that are likely to impact on the efficiency of the mortgage underwriting process and servicing practice, including the processing of land titles, development and land use planning, structural integrity of buildings, property valuation, risk management and credit scoring, are covered.
Three modules are conducted for the programme over a period of eighteen (18) months, but it is not necessary that participants should enter the programme in ordinal sequence. The Course Fee is EC Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars (EC$3,500.00) per participant, which covers course materials, field trips to the High Court Registry, house under construction, lunch, coffee break and afternoon beverages.
Travel arrangements for participants will be the responsibility of the respective institution.
Courses can be started at any module. In an effort to remain green, the course material is delivered online once your registration has been approved. The course is accredited towards REIC
